The Launch date will be on the 4th of May at Hope Yard Café 67 Micklegate Selby YO8 4EA

This is a Selby Town, District and surrounding area initiative.

The idea is to involve Businesses, Café’s, Pubs, Churches, Charitable organisations etc. The whole point is to help people from all walks of life, irrespective of gender, ethnicity, or background, The Big Communi-Tea is there to provide wellbeing and support for all.

When you see the Communi-Tea’ sign. It will indicate places of safety or just somewhere where you can get a hot drink and empathetic chat. If there is a need for more support, the participating venues will have information, contact Numbers and will be able to signpost users to appropriate help.

All organisations participating in the scheme will have the option of free Mental Health First Aid Training, Safeguarding and Safe Talk, signposting.

This initiative is all about Peer to Peer support. And keeping people away from loneliness, and reduce reliance on mainline services.

Hope Yard will be the base location and will be open from 8 in the morning to 9 at night 6 days a week this will increase to 11pm and Sundays once the project is established. Providing readily available care for those people in the Selby and surrounding area
